Erik Pingoud, M.D.
Erik Pingoud, MD earned his MD degree from the University of Tübingen, Germany. During his medical school years, he did a research scholarship for a doctoral thesis in Abeokuta, Nigeria and he was elected president of his class. He completed an externship at the Brooklyn Cumberland Medical Center in New York and a rotating internship at the University of Ulm in Ulm, Germany. After completion of his internal medicine residency at the University Of Wisconsin School Of Medicine, he continued with a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Yale University School of Medicine. He was Assistant Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Yale University School of Medicine before joining RAM Radiology in 1980. He is board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. He also holds a certificate of added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology.
